Nice to have you here!
I’m Nipun, an artist-turned-UX designer.
Design is where art and science break even. I shifted my career from engineering to creating art space experiences for exhibitions to designing delightful practical solutions for people’s needs. I found my place in UX design, where I can use my system thinking and creative powers towards tangible and useful products.
I see my art as questioning the problems. During my years of art practice,I was keen on exploring people’s emotions and motivations. Those experiences led me to question how I could understand people better and how I could help them live more fulfilling lives. I discovered my own unique style of art practice during that time.
The solution I found is design, where I dive deep into research, listening with empathy, synthesising findings, and uncovering patterns. I found out that I love communicating complex issues into concise bits by storytelling, iterating on ideas, and creating visual designs.
Art as a question & Design as solution
All roads led me to UX design.
Art and engineering are just two of the threads that led me to where I am today. During my design academics and later, I have worked as a branding and identity designer, graphic designer, and movie editor. All these built up Nipun, the UX designer, who has a good eye for details, loves prototyping, and is obsessed with accessibility and inclusive design.
What I would love to do.
Now I want to apply my various knowledge and skills in an organisation that provides a meaningful product or service, where I can work with and learn from a diverse team, creating inclusive design solutions to empower people.
